, ,Augustine Consulting Inc., (ACI) is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of systems engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, self-starting Technical Writer III to serve as a part of the Company’s Engineering Services team that supports our US Army PEO Soldier customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- An ACI Technical Writer III, you will have opportunities to interface with senior level customers, Warfighters, and leadership while performing the following functions:
- Prepares/manages the development and updating of documentation in the form of Architecture and Component diagrams, Technical Diagrams, User Guides, Quick Reference Guides, Release Notes, and Training materials for system which include Watchtower, TRAKR, Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE), VHA-L/H and DOCK-L/U.
- Prepares/manages contractual documentation in the form of Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Software Version Description (SVD), Software Design Description (SDD), Software Development Plan (SDP), Software Test Plan (STP), NW EUD/NMP/Auxilary Equipment Production & Provisioning Process & Equipment (PPPE), EUD/NMP and NW Auxillary Equipment Production Test Plan & Procedures, Software Development Environment, and the Technical Data Package (TDP)
- Prepares addendums to Software Version Description Documents
- Works directly with the customer to set priorities and ensures that the work products conform to company and customer standards.
- Carries out projects assigned by Team Leads pertaining to team functions, requiring research and investigation.

Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Associate’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience or, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Software.
- Basic knowledge of Atlassian Software Suite to include Jira and Confluence
- Basic knowledge of IBM Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
- Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense networks, systems and processes
- Experience with Tactical networks and mission command systems
- Experience with handheld mobile computing devices
- Familiarity with Soldier and/or other Army Mission Command and Control systems
- Exposure to Software engineering processes/tools/methods, Software design, test, development, and/or support, Operating systems, system administration & network protocols
- Experience in Technical Writing pertaining to software products, such as Software Version Description, Software Design Description, and Software Requirements Specification

Pay Band Information:
$70,000 - $120,000
The ACI pay band for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of a specific compensation. Factors that influence the pay offered to a specific candidate for this position include, but are not limited to, federal and state laws; federal government contract labor categories and contract wage rates; relevant prior work experience; a candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors; geographic location; education; and certifications.
