Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced Acquisition Specialist to serve as part of ACI’s corporate staff. 

Position Description: 

The Acquisition Specialist will perform material and services purchases and fixed asset management for Augustin Consulting, Inc. (ACI). This position requires active management and collaboration across the staff and line personnel to assist and advise including Directors, Program Managers, Corporate Staff on all facets of material and services purchasing. This also includes assistance with shipping and receiving, vendor and subcontract management, and fixed asset accountability and reporting. 

A Successful Aquisition Analyst at ACI Will: 

  • Establish business relationships with internal team members and external customers
  • Conduct material and services purchases in support of prime, subcontract, and corporate requirements.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of material purchases, maintaining 100% accountability of all transactions from start of transaction through final disposition
  • Contribute to vendor selection, price negotiation, order placement, vendor interface and support, and overall vendor quality control
  • Be overall responsible for the management of the fixed asset report in conjunction with the Information Technology and Finance Team
  • Perform various technical requirements to assist in market research, installation, and operation of a buyer acquisition process
  • Support the corporate contract and procurement manager

Required Qualifications: 

  • Due to the nature of this work the candidate must have, or have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration/Management preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of related, Purchasing, Pricing, Contracts and/or Business experience (Government Procurement experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Teams) Advanced Excel proficiency expected
  • Proven analytic, organization and problem-solving skills to support sound decision making
  • Proven ability working independently or as part of a team with tight deadlines
  • Possess the ability to assess, interpret, and render judgements under limited direct supervision
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARs, GSA Schedules (DEARS (DOE) is a plus)
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A certified Professional Contracts Manager and/or a certification in Supply Chain Procurement is desired. Successful applicants will be strongly encouraged to achieve one or more of these certifications during their tenure at ACI.

Pay Band Information:

$90,000 - $120,000

The ACI pay band for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of a specific compensation. Factors that influence the pay offered to a specific candidate for this position include, but are not limited to, federal and state laws; federal government contract labor categories and contract wage rates; relevant prior work experience; a candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors; geographic location; education; and certifications.
