Position Description:

A Software Engineer at ACI will build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications/operating systems. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.

A Succesful Software Engieer at ACI will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all computer and software related aspects of assigned to the program.
  • Design and implement software solutions for back-end and front-end development for interactive web/mobile applications.
  • Perform engineering and scientific work involving the design, development, and operation of man portable computer systems, including hardware and software and their integration with other systems and peripherals.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Due to the nature of this work the candidate must have, or have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • High school diploma and 10 years' relevant experience or,
  • Associate's degree and 7 years' relevant experience or,
  • Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and 3-year relevant experience or,
  • Master’s degree in a directly related field and 1 years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in software development, and all phases of the software development life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experienced with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards.
  • Understand TCP/IP and UDP/Multicast networking.
  • 5+ years Software Development or Systems Engineering in a professional environment.
  • Proficient in Java or C++ development.
  • Source code control w/ Git.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing to convey Development strategy and integration activities.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical documentation.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations and supporting customer engagement locations.

Pay Band Information:

$82,000 - $181,000

The ACI pay band for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of a specific compensation.
