Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced Fielder to join our team to provide support to tactical radio systems through New Equipment Training (NET) in support of PM Tactical Radio (PM TR).

Position Description: 

A successful Fielder at ACI will perform the following duties:

  • Provides technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
  • Responsible for independently designing, modifying, and constructing electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation used in performance measurements on test and evaluation projects.
  • Design criteria is not always standardized or well established. Improving and updating circuit elements/equipment in order to incorporate new advances where existing technical data is not always adequate may be the objective.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C4ISR equipment as appropriate for the task.
  • Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
  • Perform installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, exercise and test support and maintenance.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to lower level technicians.
  • Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to lower level technicians.
  • Must have hands-on or educational experience in two of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • AA or 2 Yr Technical School (2 additional years of exp as sub)
  • 5 or more years of experience
  • Must be worldwide deployable and possess a valid US Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a valid passport within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be able to read installation drawings and perform installations in accordance with drawing
  • Electronic component installation experience
  • Hands-on or educational experience in two of the following areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms
  • Be detail oriented to ensure proper accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
  • Candidates should be computer literate and able to function using the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Candidates must qualify to rent a vehicle from various national rental car agencies.
  • Due to the physical nature of the program, candidates must be able to life and carry 40 pounds at shoulder height and 60 pounds at waist height for a distance of 50 feet.
  • The candidate will be required to move in and out of vehicles when installing military equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to use a spectrum analyzer to perform interference and other performance tests on installed equipment
  • Testing using Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR)
  • Experience with PM Tactical Radios and/or COMSEC

Pay Band Information:

$59,000 - $91,000

The ACI pay band for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of a specific compensation.
